Cryptocurrency exchange FTX has struck a deal with the annual California music and arts festival, Coachella. The long-term partnership is set to host multiple crypto-powered experiences for festival goers and NFT enthusiasts to enjoy.
The opening move from the powerhouse collaboration has seen the unveiling of the Coachella NFT Marketplace, where already, three distinct NFT collections lay waiting for fans to come and snatch up.
The collection which is making the most noise in both the metaverse and music space is understandably the ‘Coachella Keys Collection’, which consists of 10 unique NFT keys which grant lifetime access to Coachella and Coachella-produced virtual experiences, as well as other festival experiences throughout 2022. Those wanting to guarantee themselves a lifetime supply of legendary, music-filled summers in the West Coast sun can begin bidding on the collection on February 4th.
The other collections featured on Coachella’s fresh new NFT marketplace include the ‘Sights and Sound Collection,’ which is a series of 10,000 NFTs featuring never-before-seen soundscapes and photos (each costing $60), and the ‘Desert Reflections Collection’, an assemblage of 1,000 NFTs which celebrate the iconic 20-year history of Coachella. The NFTs will cost $180 each, and will also have the ability to be redeemed for a physical copy of the ‘Coachella, The Photographs: 1999-2019’ photo book. The sale for both collections will also launch on February 4th.
