Nike has finally released its long-awaited first-ever NFT named “MNLTH” featuring co-branding with virtual sneaker studio RTFKT, which the sportswear titan acquired in December.
“MNLTH” was airdropped to current Clone X holders, and the airdrop is still ongoing. Clone X is an NFT collection of 20,000 avatars designed by RTFKT and Takashi Murakami.
The “MNLTH” NFT features a mystery square box with geometric patterns and glowing Nike and RTFKT logo cutouts on two different sides of the box.

Both brands have yet to reveal what’s inside the box. About the eventual reveal, RTFKT co-founder Benoit Pagotto kept it vague, saying: “the reveal is not your usual stuff… gonna have to be patient and smart, RTFKT Innovation”.
Alongside the airdrop, the first Nike, Jordan and Converse co-branded PodX metaverse space called LOOT Pod was also distributed among eligible RTFKT collectors for free. Featuring a marble space in a sleek room, LOOT Pod is the first extension of the Space Pod home for holders to display their NFTs.
Pagotto also said that “MNLTH” is not restricted to Clone X holders only, and that anyone can be a part of the experience provided they buy the “MNLTH”. However, Pod holders will not be airdropped “MNLTH”.

Currently trading on OpenSea, “MNLTH” is listed at a floor price of 5.5 ETH ($17,011.88) while Pod X is at 1.35 ETH ($4,175.64).
Founded just two years ago in January 2020, RTFKT has seen a quick rise to success as it was valued at $33.3 million last May. The studio has churned out NFT collaborations with big names like Lexus, Takashi Murakami and Jeff Staple.
