NodeOps has introduced a new NFT launch mechanism that focuses on inclusivity. Dubbed a proof-of-conviction, it ensures everyone gets a fair chance when participating in NFT launches, eliminating the bias that often favours whales or sybils.
The effectiveness of the mechanism will be demonstrated when NodeOps launches the new UNO NFT collection on March 10.
According to the announcement shared with NFTgators, the collection of 10,000 high-quality 3D profile pictures (PFPs) features a revenue sharing mechanism and other benefits.
The company is using a two-pronged approach for the launch, leveraging the proof-of-mechanisms and a year of non-transferrable lockup for the tokens to ensure early supporters are not priced out of the market. Buyers also receive 20% discount on any purchase on the NodeOps platform and up to 5% revenue share.
Ranked as one of the top six DePin earners with an annual recurring revenue of $2.5 million by DePin Ninja, NodeOps boasts over 300,000 verified users according to Dune, and is using its AI-powered DePIN Orchestration layer to fulfil its mission of simplifying and enhancing builder experience in blockchain and AI.
The UNO NFT collection features several elements of utility including a waitlist for holders that allows them to participate in ecosystem projects involved in node bootstrapping, node selling, and partnership with the network, along with governance rights.
The UNO NFT collection is being sold in phases with the first phase reserved for $NODE (the network’s native token) holders lasting 48 hours. The NFTs are priced at 500 $NODE, while the conviction phase allows users to enter a raffle for a chance to mint. The tickets for the mint are priced at $25, with a full mint costing $200. “Users can acquire multiple tickets to increase their chances of winning the mint, with the final cost offset by the ticket price/s paid,” NodeOps said in the announcement, adding “any remaining UNO will be available for general sale.”
The announcement comes just weeks after NodeOps rebranded Atlas Network to NodeOps Network to realign its brand strategy.
