Pixel Vault has their eyes set on being the Marvel / Disney of Web3 and the Metaverse
Web2 is coming for Web3 as quickly as possible. While the rumors about yuga labs being valued at around $5 Billion are still rumors, Pixel Vault has announced that they’ve received $100 million in funding from Adam Bain’s team 01 Advisors and Dick Costolo’s Velvet Sea Ventures. This funding values the Pixel Vault company at $1 Billion.
Pixel Vault gained noteriety in the NFT world almost a year ago with their drop of Punks Comic #1. They used this success to create the Pixel Vault DAO that vastly inflated the price of their NFT by limiting supply. From the parabolic rise in value, Pixel Vault benefited greatly on the fees gained from secondary sales. The team has expanded since then creating a MetaHero Universe that as of this writing is hovering around a $20k floor.
PUNKS Comic takes it one step further by partnering with your favorite Bored Apes to co-release Collector’s Editions of Issue #2, a first for IP licensing in the NFT space. Our team worked with each ape owner to create 8 alternate-cover PUNKS Comic Issue #2 collections (only 750 NFTs available per ape for a total of 6,000). These collectibles mark a significant milestone in bringing NFT communities together through collaborative storytelling and IP development. Holders of these editions will be able to claim the physical copy at a later date.
This fundraise allows Pixel Vault to set their sites on establishing themselves as the studio for web3. They are well positioned to world build in and around the metaverse with established characters, IP, and a community that is fiercely loyal.
