The Fantom blockchain has been booming recently, mostly with DeFi projects. In terms of gaming, the choices are still very limited, but Tank Wars Zone is gaining traction and leading the way for play-to-earn games on the Fantom network.
Tank Wars Zone is a tank battle game which will feature various game modes:
- PVE – Story mode
- PVP – Real-time top-down view 3v3
- Battle Royale – Last one standing wins
- World Boss – Fight powerful bosses to earn NFT rewards
- Land Gathering – Purchase or earn land plots
- Guild Wars – Team battles between different guilds

The game will use 3 types of NFTs that players can trade on the marketplace: tanks, lands and items.
Tank Wars Zone will function on a dual token economy. The War Bond Token ($WBOND) is the utility token used for voting, trading tanks and NFTs. It has a limited supply of 1,000,000,000 tokens.
The Tank Gold Token ($TGOLD) is the in-game currency that can be earned by playing the game. $TGOLD will be used to repair tanks and to buy additional equipment. This utility should help to keep the value of the token up as it doesn’t have a predefined supply yet.

According to the roadmap, the first public beta version of the game should be released this quarter with limited game modes. More game modes and the listing of the game’s tokens on exchanges are planned for the second quarter. A first alpha version of the game is already available for you to try on tankwars.zone.
Mystery Box Sale & Whitelist
The Mystery Box Sale event will go live on February 15. This genesis box sale will feature 10,000 mystery box which can later be redeemed for tanks after the official game launch.
Each box will cost 1,500 $WBOND (approximately $150 at the time of writing) and will contain a tank, either common (59.23%), uncommon (22%), rare (11%), epic (5.55%) or legendary (2.22%).
To participate in the initial sale, you will need to be on the whitelist. You can enter this gleam contest to have a chance to be on the list.
After the first 12 hours, the remaining mystery box will be available for anyone to purchase. You will need $WBOND tokens on the Fantom Opera network to purchase a box. So if you are interested, make sure to have the necessary tokens in your wallet before the sale goes live.

The Tank Wars Zone Team
Tank Wars Zone js developed by a Vietnamese team of developers who are long-time supporters of the Fantom Opera network. They have been running the Fantom Vietnam Validator since the Genesis Mainnet and have now extended their team to 30 members, on-boarding new developers, designers and marketers. They have support from the Fantom foundation and many other investors such as DEC.ventures, Newave Capital and LD Capital to just name a few.
